Going in to this I assumed I would summit. Going in to this I knew it would be hard. I loved the challenge! I love to be challenged.

The camaraderie and support from the amazing group!2. as it's taken me a while to understand what happened and get the good from it)1. It's just unfortunate that Brent's part of the journey was the one which caused the greatest impact. What did I enjoy most? (I couldn't have answered this until today. But that's strictly because of Brent.Everything outside of Brent was great. Unfortunately, my overall experience wasn't good. RMI will always be the first place I look for my next adventure. I know her words of encouragement really helped him make it to the bottom, which after all is the real goal, no?In any case, thank all of you so much. Big thanks to him!I would also like to thank Bridget who made the decent from Camp Muir in the very back of the pack with a member of our team who was having a particularly rough go of it. There were several times I felt like a toddler looking for his father to tell him what to do, and Kel always had the answer. Being 100% sure we had all the right gear, and a guy like Kel to answer any questions made all the difference in the world as compared to the "learning from my mistakes" method I'd previously employed. I shocked myself when a member of our team began to fall, and immediately heard the word "falling!" Come out of my mouth as I dropped to the team arrest position. Our rope team leader, Kel did a fantastic job of keeping us alive, and making sure we were doing the right things on the mountain. I just want to thank RMI for giving me the knowledge and ability to successfully, and safely summit Mt. Seth, Ben, Solveig - awesome all around and great to see them again and for them to know that I finally made the summit. Hands down I would climb with her again, anywhere anytime. 500 summits and 30 years of experience on the mountain - priceless.Hannah - didn't get to climb much with her, but her energy and enthusiasm was incredible and exactly what was needed to conquer the DC.Gloria - Wow, what a connection I felt we made in such a short period. :) I'm already thinking the next trip and looking at the Emmons route and then Denali.Brent - to climb with him is an incredible experience.I've broken through so many barriers under his leadership and guidance. I'm now getting to the point that I've climb multiple times with the guides. The growth I have achieved over the last three years is directly related to the guides that I have had and the relationships that I've built.I'm sure they might be tired of seeing me. I cant speak more highly to my experience and its becoming a yearly activity for me. Despite their vast experience, RMI Guides still remember their own first steps into the mountains and enjoy helping other climbers reach new heights. Such qualities may only be found in people at the top of their profession. They possess the compassion, enthusiasm, and ability to empower others and inspire them forward. Our guides are celebrated teachers and trainers, known for their leadership as well as their character.
